St Bede’s College staged a Christmas Fantasia on the evening of Tuesday 14 December and held the annual Carol Service for L5 to U6 at English Martyrs Church on Wednesday afternoon.
The Carol Service was a very prayerful occasion, celebrated by Fr Dearman, with Benediction, readings, community carols and those sung by the choir. The parish church of English Martyrs is a wonderful setting for this annual event. The College thanks Fr Marlor (Parish Priest) for allowing the service to take place there. The younger year groups hed their own celebrations in the College Chapel on Thursday 16 December.
There were many highlights during the Christmas Fatasia. The music festival winners performed again and there were sets by the orchestra, the windband, the string group, the junior and senior choirs, as well as a number of solos and readings. This was a wondefurful evening and the concert was an excellent way to begin our Christmas celebrations.
Many thanks to all the staff involved in either event: Miss Darby, Mr Eaglen, Mrs Meehan, Fr Dearman, Mr Sayers, Mr Barber, Miss Atter, Miss Spiers, Mr Leach, Miss Cochran, Mrs Alderson, Mrs Cavanagh, Miss Evans, Mr Bartlett and former pupil, Matthew Thistleton. Thank you also to all the pupils who took part.
