Two students from St Bede’s College in South Manchester were winners in a recent literary review competition about the former Children’s Laureate author, Michael Morpurgo. The two students, Grace Lavery and Ella Dunn, are pictured above with the College Librarian, Karen Poolton.
First year student, Grace Lavery, won the overall award, the prize for which was a signed copy of the author’s new book “Running Wild”.
The Runner up was Ella Dunn. Her prize was a paperback copy of the Michael Morpurgo book “Little Foxes”.
“They were both worthy winners of the competition and produced very entertaining and informative reviews of the award winning author’s books,” said College Librarian, Karen Poolton. Both girls were delighted about receiving their prizes. “He is our favourite author,” they agreed.
