St Bede’s College in South Manchester staged its Christmas Fantasia on Tuesday 15 December 2010 to mark the end of the Autumn Term. The musical extravaganza featured just over a hundred musicians and singers who performed a number of traditional and contemporary Christmas themed pieces.
Headmaster, Michael Barber, who formed part of the choir with the students and other staff members, said: “It was a lovely evening and had a real family spirit to it. I was only too pleased to get involved with the choir along with other members of the teaching staff. The students are very talented musicians and singers, and the staff had been working very hard to prepare them for this very special evening. It was an excellent way to start off our preparations for the Christmas season.” Singer, Catherine Douglas, pictured above, said: “It was a wonderful concert with a real Christmas feel to it.”
