Bedian is Lord of the Dance

lordofthedanceSt Bede’s students, Grace Kennedy and Pierce O’Connor, met up with former Bedian, James Keegan, the new principal dancer with Lord of the Dance at his sell out show at the Opera House, Manchester, on Saturday 26 September.

Grace and Pierce are dancers with the College’s award winning Young, Gifted & Green Irish dance troupe, the same troupe with which James was the principal dancer while he was at the College.

The award winning twenty-two year old dancer has been dancing with Lord of the Dance since he left College at sixteen, travelling all over the world with the troupe.

The students had purchased tickets for a VIP reception hosted by Chris O’Connor promotions, which was held in the prestigious Phantom suite at the venue.  They met other members of the cast and saw the sell out show during which James received three standing ovations.

“It was a very special evening,” said Grace.”I really enjoyed meeting the cast members and seeing the show.  James was fantastic. He always comes back into College whenever he can to help us train for our annual show.”
