St Bede’s College once again ran to victory in the recent Manchester Schools Cross Country competition as two out of three age groups finished in 1st position. Nicky McCormick, Head of Girls PE, said: “We almost pulled off a clean sweep of first place in all ages. Olympic sprinter Andrew Steele is a former pupil at the College and we hope that some of these girls can follow in his famous footsteps.”
Both the U16 Team and U14 teams came in first. The U14 A team consisted of Aimee Aitken, Rhiannon Wardrop, Kara Roylance and Isabelle Cox. The U16 team consisted of Maria Boodhoo, Chantal Ratcliffe and Catriona Edwards
