Eight D of E Silver Participants at Shallow Grange Campsite
Eight students, seven Sixth Form and one Upper Fifth, completed their Silver Practice Expedition over the first weekend of half term. They walked a total of 45km in 3 days, staying at Rowson House Farm in Monyash on Saturday evening and Shallow Grange on Sunday. We attended Mass at English Martyrs in Bakewell on Saturday evening.
The weather was wet and windy thoughout with occasional sunny spells. Members of staff accompanied the trip for various stages. Ever present was Mr Barber, with his injured ribs. We are grateful also to Mr Loader, Mr & Mrs Hazell, Mrs Earles and Mr Byrne for their help and support. We are hoping to complete the qualifying expedition during the summer term.
Congratulations to all the pupils, who were cheerful and good company throughout the three days.

The end of the road!
