Former Pupil Edward Docx visits College

Thirty five year old writer and broadcaster, Edward Docx, from Hale Barns, a former pupil of St Bede’s, returned to the College on Thursday, 20th November to deliver a lecture to the St Bede’s Literary & Philosophical Society. Edward talked about his writing career, including his most recent novel Self Help. Published by Picador, Self Help was long listed for the 2007 MAN Booker Prize and won the 2007 Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize. When asked about his time at the College, Edward replied, “I very much enjoyed my time here. It was a first class education.”
