Author Philip Caveney with Daughter, Grace
The U3 and L4 pupils were delighted to escape from the classroom this week to be entertained by Philip Caveney, local author of chlidren’s books such as Prince of Fools, Prince of Pirates and Prince of Explorers, all featuring Sebastian Darke. The talk was well received and the pupils were inspired to hone their story writing skills for entry into competitions which will take place later in the year. A number of students had their stories and poems published last year, so the present group are hoping to be equally successful so that they, too, can see their work in print.
