New Head of Geography Department, Miss Jayne Tompkinson, led a group of Upper Sixth students to the first of what should be regular Geography social outings. This involved visiting the cinema to see ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ which confronts attitudes to global warming. This was followed by an Italian meal. The previous week they had been to Cranedale for a three day field study course. Younger students will shortly be visiting Chester Zoo to consider issues of conservation.
