Admissions from Overseas
The basic requirements for entry to the Sixth Form are :
(a) A minimum of 7 GCSE subjects A* - C with at least 3 subjects at Grade B or above. If you wish to study Mathematics you will be required to have at least an A Grade For Double Mathematics you will be required to have A*. In the case of Physics, Bilolgy, Chemistry or Music at least a B Grade is required. The Headmaster has discretion to relax these requirements if he believes that a aprticular student would benefit from the education offered at St Bede’s Catholic Sixth Form,
For some students whose examinations are taken in a language other than English, their requirement may be reduced to 5 passes. English as an additional language lesson will be offered to those students to ensure that the minimum matriculation requirements in English is achieved during the 2 year Sixth Form course.
Those students who are part of the African examination system and whose GCSE equivalent results are not available until November will be accepted on the basis of predicted grades provided by their present school.
(b) Successful interviews at St Bede’s.
(c) A favourable reference from your present school.
Please complete the enclosed Sixth Form Application Form. As an overseas student, it is obviously not possible for you to visit the school or arrange an interview until you and your family arrive in Manchester, but on receipt of a satisfactorily completed Application Form it should be possible for us to offer you a provisional place.

2. Places will be awarded on the basis of:
a) Interview at St Bede’s College.
b) Report from the applicant’s school. Those sections for the school to complete within the Application Form should be sufficient, but in some cases an extra report will be sought.
c) GCSE (or equivalent) results.
